Sometimes I think writing about memories of the kids isn't practical or encouraging like some other foster blogging, but I'm rethinking that: it's encouraging to read of others loving and remembering their sweet ones.Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17635693504057980715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6528711106793780153.post-67676830520040740972016-03-18T07:21:04.251-07:002016-03-18T07:21:04.251-07:00I loved reading this. Might as well share here :)
Baby 1- My siblings and I had gone to a friends' cottage for the day while my parents went to the hospital. We came home, and ran into the nursery where Baby 1 was swaddled and sleeping in the bassinet (She didn't stay in the bassinet long ;) )
Baby 2- The worker pulled up in her van, and we ran out to the driveway. The worker pulled the car seat out of the van and Baby 2 was wearing the cutest, most frilly socks I've ever seen.
Baby 3- I was at school when he joined our family, but I took the train home on the weekend. I came into the train station lobby and my mom was sitting there with him in the car seat, and a few old ladies admiring him.
Baby 4- I was on the other side of the world. It was dinner time where I was, and the internet was slow but I finally managed to load the photo mom had emailed me. I never got to meet Baby 4 in person.
Baby 5- I found a photo of her on Facebook the night she was born/we got the call. I was so excited and showed mom. The worker and her student brought her to our home a couple days later, my mom took the car seat from them at the bottom of the stairs and brought her up to the kitchen where I saw her face in person for the first time :)
Baby 6- I was at the home where I was living that year during school, and Mom sent me a photo when Baby 6 arrived. A few days later, Mom came to pick me up to come home for the weekend. I remember opening the door and Mom handing me the car seat and I saw Baby 6 in person for the first time.

These moments are all so special to me. Also, the moments we got the call or Mom told me another baby was on the way. Thanks for sharing a little more about your "hellos".Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10471303037450359030noreply@blogger.com
